Thornbury. The Place to Be.

Posted on July 16, 2012 · Posted in Thornbury

Thornbury is one of the towns within the Blue Mountains. It is found in the Grey County,  located in Southwestern Ontario. The town’s economy is mainly centred on tourism, but is quickly becoming a very attractive place to live. The Blue Mountain Ski Resort is a haven for skiers and snowboarders during winter, which is right around the corner from Lora Bay.

Thornbury is also home to the L.E Shore Memorial Library which has a very unique architecture. It is a very charming town perfect for a getaway from the busy city life. The weather is pleasant, especially during the summer months and if you are looking for a peaceful place to take a vacation or live, this town will quickly feel like home.

Travelling to the area is easy. You can travel via water within Georgian Bay, by car along picturesque country roads and by air to Collingwood airport. The Blue Mountains offer spectacular scenery and a magnificent landscape, but nothing compares to the majestic views and area of Lora Bay.
